Teri Lyne is a mom and professional photographer with a passion for educating the public about Type 1 diabetes.
She does this by photographing diabetic kids and teens, free of charge, and allowing them to say something about their picture.
One picture of a boy named Kenneth is captioned, “Having Type 1 diabetes doesn’t stop you unless you let it” while another by Meghan says, “Type 1 doesn’t stop me from doing anything I want to do.”
It’s empowering and it’s validating to these young people to know that their life isn’t over, it’s just beginning.
